I've been there many times over the years. I had a new ski jacket purchased off of EBay. I'm tall, slender, have long arms. The arms on jacket weren't long enough. They put a contrasting 3" pc of fabric in the arm, they knew exactly what angle would made it look great,natural.... I love the jacket now!! Then I bought a cute pair of capris but I wanted the lower part of leg more narros so we did a fun piece (buttons, etc.,) to match the contrasting thread. They are perfect! I took a pair of blue jeans purchased off EBay (yep, love that venue!) and they put in a closely matched denim near the hips to make them not so extremely Low Rise. Well, there's so much more. They've also repaired a couple of different funky, fun belts that I didn't want to give up. I've been able to wear them for an extra year, and still can wear them this season if I like. That's just a sampling. These guys are really SKILLED. My attorney friend brought them a pricey tuxedo to alter. He is so pleased with the results! Plus, the owner who greets you and goes over options is so VERY NICE!!

Don't let their modest little shop fool you, this place does top notch work!  I don't usually need much altered, but the few times that I have, they have done a great job!

Several years ago I needed my bridesmaids dress for my sister's wedding altered.  Anyone that has ever bought a bridesmaids dress knows how weird the sizes are; you have to order a dress that is usually too large to accommodate some part of your body that is, according to the designer, out proportion to the rest of your body.  In my case, I had to buy a dress two sizes too large to accommodate by chest.  Low and behold, the dress looked like a sack on me.  We took it to Alterations Plus since it was just down the road from my parent's house and my mom had heard good things about them.  They took my sack-like dress and made it fit perfectly!!!  It was exactly what I had imaged the dress to look like!  They made the dress fit so perfectly, that years later (and 15 pounds heavier) I actually have issues getting back into the dress!

Last summer when I got married, I was lucky enough to get a dress that actually didn't need any alterations.  The only thing that I needed done was to have the train bustled.  Since the alteration people at the bridal shop only had a packaged deal for all alterations costing $200, it wasn't worth it to just get the dress bustled there.  Since we were so happy with their previous work and the location to my parent's convenient, we took my dress to Alterations Plus and they bustled it for only $50!  They took their time to make sure the length was right and that the layers matched up.  In the end, the bustling looked great and went perfect with my dress's style!
